Ang Thong National Marine Park is one of Thailand’s most visually stunning dive destinations — a protected archipelago of 42 islands in the Gulf of Thailand, characterised by towering limestone karst formations, emerald lagoons, white sand beaches, and some of the most pristine, undisturbed coral reef systems in the region.
Unlike Sail Rock and Koh Tao, Ang Thong sees far fewer divers. The park’s protected status means the reefs are in exceptional condition — and the marine life, undisturbed by heavy traffic, is abundant and relaxed.
Why Dive Ang Thong Marine Park?
- Pristine, protected reefs — some of the healthiest coral in the Gulf of Thailand, rarely dived and in excellent condition
- Stunning above-water scenery — dramatic limestone cliffs and hidden lagoons that make the surface interval as beautiful as the dive
- Diverse marine life — hard and soft corals, banded sea snakes, parrotfish, wrasse, stingrays, moray eels, butterflyfish, and reef sharks
- Uncrowded — Ang Thong receives a fraction of the dive traffic of Sail Rock or Koh Tao, giving you a more personal, natural experience
- Accessible to beginners — shallow sites to 20m, calm conditions, ideal for Open Water Divers

Dive Sites
Dive site selection within the park varies by day and conditions. Common sites include reefs along the inner archipelago islands, where calm water and intact coral gardens reward careful exploration at depths of 5–20m.
