Course Structure
Before You Arrive — PADI eLearning
We send your eLearning access code as soon as you book. The online theory covers dive physics, equipment, skills, and safety at your own pace — typically 8–10 hours, completed before you arrive in Koh Samui.
Day 1 — Confined Water (Pool)
Pool sessions run 9:00 am to around noon. You’ll master all required PADI skills in a safe, controlled environment under 1-on-1 instructor supervision — buoyancy, regulator clearing, mask clearing, emergency ascents, and more.
Days 2 & 3 — Open Water Dives (4 dives total)
Over two boat days you’ll complete 4 open water dives at sites between Koh Samui and Koh Tao — including vibrant coral reefs and the chance to encounter tropical fish, turtles, and reef sharks. Hotel pickup arranged, boat departs around 9am, back by 3–4pm.
Junior divers: Aged 12–14 dive to 18m. Aged 10–11 dive to 12m. See our PADI Junior Open Water Diver course.
Combine with PADI Enriched Air Nitrox for extended bottom time from your very first certification.
What Dive Sites Will I Visit?
Your open water dives take place at carefully selected sites between Koh Samui and Koh Tao depending on conditions and the day of the week. Common sites include Koh Tao’s world-renowned reefs (Mango Bay, White Rock) and the outer reef walls around Koh Samui. Every dive site features clear water, minimal current for beginners, and rich marine life.
